Harvard Summer School (HSS) is the oldest academic summer program in the United States, run by Harvard University’s Division of Continuing Education and offering 300+ courses across 60 + disciplines including arts, sciences, business, technology, humanities, and more. ✍️ Step-by-Step Application Process

1. Choose Your Program

If you are an international student and plan to study on campus for credit, you must:

  3. Submit supporting financial/passport documents for I-20 by Apr 30 2026
  4. Receive Form I-20 from Harvard Summer School

Once you have your Form I-20, apply for a U.S. F-1 Student Visa at your local U.S. embassy/consulate. You’ll need:

  • DS-160 completion
  • SEVIS I-901 fee payment
  • Valid passport & I-20
  • Financial documentation
  • Visa interview appointment scheduling

Important: B-1/B-2 or ESTA do not allow full-time for-credit study on campus; attempting to enter under these can be denied or violate U.S. immigration rules.
